Two friends. One little show.

Camila and Siobhán landed in Aotearoa from opposite corners of the world — and stayed for the people, the coastline and the community.

Olá família, I'm Camila

Originally from Brazil, New Zealand has been home for over a decade and I can't imagine life without the ocean, the mountains and the community I've found here.

Founder of Light Up Marketing, Light Up Mag, and NearMe: Events & Deals. I spend my days helping businesses grow, connecting communities and creating platforms that bring people together.

When I'm not working, you'll probably find me out in nature, rowing, running, hiking, in the ocean, or hanging with my little sidekick, Yoda.

I believe that when people feel heard, they feel empowered. Sometimes one honest conversation is all it takes.

Hey guys, I'm Siobhán

Originally from the UK, somehow I ended up on the other side of the world calling Mount Maunganui home and I absolutely love it here.

Founder of Oasis, an app that helps you find fun things to do, discover local spots and a few cheeky rewards along the way.

Naturally cheery, slightly chaotic and usually juggling about 47 ideas at once. I love meeting people, having a good laugh and finding out the weird, wonderful and unexpected bits of their story.

My dream behind co-creating Not From Around Here is to uncover the wonderful personalities hidden within our community.

Every local business has a story. Every café, charity, volunteer, artist, coach, entrepreneur and community leader is helping shape the place we call home. Sometimes all they need is someone willing to shine a light on what they do. That's where we come in.

Our mission is to celebrate the people making a difference, champion local businesses, and encourage our community to support the people and places around them.
